Nearby

This is the place where your beach holiday starts. Treyarnon Bay is renowned for its clean and clear waters, golden sand and craggy coves and rockpools, all the makings of a perfect beach day. The bay is dog friendly all year round, so even the hairiest members of the family can enjoy everything the beach has to offer in the summer months. If walkies are in order, then you are in the right place. This stretch of North Cornwall is famous for its dramatic coastline, which can be experienced in all its glory by walking the Southwest Coast path, the UK’s longest National Trail. The path is well signposted from most beaches and will lead you along the coast, offering breath-taking scenery at every turn. A walk around Trevose Head is a must, and if you are lucky, you might see the RNLI lifeboat launch from its station at Mother Ivey’s Bay.

A short drive away is St Merryn, home to a well-stocked shop, takeaways, plenty of pubs and restaurants and a surf shop, all the main holiday ingredients! Five minutes further is Padstow, famed for its eateries. Time is easily spent in Padstows winding streets, wandering around its galleries and boutiques, or dropping a crab line into the harbour while enjoying a cider in the sun. If you don’t manage to catch your dinner, pop in to one of the towns many restaurants or take aways and let someone else do the hard work, there are plenty of options to choose from!
