The Daymar, Ocean Blue, Treyarnon
Overview
“Amazing holiday. The property exceeded our expectations, the lounge/dinning/kitchen was massive and had everything you needed. The icing on the cake was the outside space to relax in the sun, the kids could play on the grass, and we could sunbathe on the sun loungers. Great proximity to the fantastic beach, and a short stroll around the corner to Constantine Bay, which was also stunning”

Two minutes. That’s how long it takes for you to walk out of the front door of The Daymar and get your toes in the sand. This beautiful beachside location provides a stunning backdrop to this spacious and well-appointed ground floor apartment, situated within the gated Ocean Blue community. Nearby
Situated right on one of North Cornwall’s best beaches, this a location that really cannot be beaten. Treyarnon Bay regularly comes top in “Best Of….” beach lists and it’s easy to see why. As one of the areas “Seven Bays for Seven Days” this stunning cove is hugged by dunes and high cliffs. The sandy bay provides a divine spot for a dip, but if calmer waters are more your thing why not try the tidal pool nestled into the rocks, topped up daily by the ocean.
Follow the coast path north and you come to Constantine Bay, an easy ten-minute stroll away. This long sandy beach is flanked by rolling dunes and is legend among the surfing community, head here to watch them ripping on big wave days. The other side of the rocky outcrop in the middle of the bay lies Booby’s Bay, a low-tide beauty that hides amazing rockpools and coves, as well as the skeleton of a ship long since wrecked.
St Merryn village is a short drive away, with plenty of shops and bars including Rick Steins pub, The Cornish Arms. The village is also home to a well-stocked shop, bakery, and surf shop, so all bases are covered! Amazing holiday. The property exceeded our expectations, the lounge/dinning/kitchen was massive and had everything you needed. The bedrooms were lovely, both with ensuites and also a separate toilet. The icing on the cake was the ouside space to relax in the sun, the kids could play on the grass and we could sunbathe on the sun loungers. Parking space at front door. Great proximity to the fantastic beach, about 3 minutes walk!!! And short stroll around the corner to Constantine beach which was also stunning.

Spacious well equipped apartment, and a great location for the beach, surfing and nice coastal walks. Good little shop in the adjacent carpark that had just about everything in it including; fresh bakery, veg, and dairy as well as all the staple pantry requirements. There is also a great coffee bar in the car park that also serves food. If you are still stuck the YHA serves great pizza and sells booze. The local Fish & Chip van also appears in the car park at least twice a week and it is really good, be prepared to queue!
