Perfectly positioned in the centre of Padstow, Cormorant is a brilliant apartment which is hidden from view just a skip away from the harbourside. Sleeping up to six people in total, the apartment is incredibly spacious and provides a comfortable retreat for the family to enjoy together in between discovering the beauties of Padstow and the North Cornish Coast. The light and airy accommodation comprises three bedrooms, two bathrooms and fantastic sociable living areas including a roomy sitting area and a stylish kitchen and dining room, perfect for keeping the cook company.

 

We also have the apartment above available to rent, Teal, which includes two bedrooms sleeping up to 4 people, providing an ideal opportunity to have a large family holiday sleeping up to 10 people in the two apartments. Padstow is a picturesque harbour town, that’s winding streets hide a plentiful number of pleasant surprises, with something for everyone. Famous for it’s selection of gourmet restaurants, including those of Rick Stein and Paul Ainsworth, Padstow offers an amazing culinary scene and several brilliant pubs and bars. In between the fine dining experiences, try dodging the seagulls with a traditional Cornish pasty or spot of fish and chips sitting by the harbours edge.

 

Padstow is situated ideally by the South West Coast path, perfect for a scenic walk to find many of the coast’s hidden gems. Not forgetting the Camel Trail, where you can enjoy the striking views of the estuary whilst cycling the level track to Wadebridge or beyond. And of course, there are several stunning beaches within a short drive providing a huge choice of water sports, with fantastic surf schools at Harlyn Bay, Polzeath and Watergate Bay amongst others, you can pack your holiday with activities in no time.

Inside Space

With accommodation located across the lower ground floor level of the building, Cormorant offers a superb space for the family to enjoy. Into the hall and you are greeted by the contemporary kitchen & breakfast room, a sociable room which is well equipped to cater for all your needs. There is a family bathroom with a shower over the bath. Steps up from the hall open up to the sitting room, a sizeable room with comfy leather sofas and a larger dining table and chairs. A second hall takes you through to the bedrooms, firstly a twin room with two single beds, the second room offers a double bed and finally the master bedroom, a king size double room with ensuite shower facilities.

 

Outside Space

Cormorant does not include a private garden, however, the harbour is within moments and the beaches along the estuary just a pleasant walk away.

 

Parking

There is a car port outside with a private parking space for one car. 

 

Access

Tight tarmac parking area adjacent to the entrance, a step over the threshold into the communal hall, flight of stairs down to the lower ground level entrance to the apartment. Level entry into hallway, bathroom and kitchen, two steps up into the sitting room and level through to bedrooms from there.

Please note: This property has a Juliette balcony overlooking the internal courtyard. Please supervise children and pets at all times when the balcony is in use.

A refundable security deposit of £250 will be taken prior to your stay.

Situated on the west bank of the Camel Estuary, the picturesque harbour town of Padstow is a stunning holiday destination with an energetic vibe, a huge range of superb restaurants and bars, a variety of boutique shops and galleries, and all of this surrounded by gorgeous scenery.

 

For those days wandering around the town or sitting by the harbour in the sunshine, the tides of the river and the stream of boats sailing in and out of the working fishing port provide an ever changing and simply beautiful scenery to absorb. Stroll further along from the harbour and you reach the gorgeous sandy beaches along the estuary, a beautiful spot to relax and let your cares fly away.

 

  

 

The town has become a famous foodie destination, with celebrity chefs Rick Stein and Paul Ainsworth taking centre stage, including Rick’s flagship Seafood Restaurant and Paul’s Michelin starred No.6 amongst the empire! With a huge variety through the town including Italian restaurants, fish and chips, delicious pub grub, tempting bakeries and daytime cafés. To go with this there is an equally wide range of bars to enjoy, from cosy pubs to stylish gin and wine bars.

 

Exploring the winding streets of the town you will also find a selection of clothing and jewellery shops, galleries and more.

 

  

 

During your visit, make the most of the water and take a boat trip out on the estuary, you can choose from a scenic trip on an old lifeboat, a water safari or a high speed trip around the bay! There is also a ferry which runs daily across the water to Rock with even more food options like Paul Ainsworth’s gastro pub The Mariners.

 

Padstow is also surrounded by other beautiful places, with several stunning sandy beaches along the rugged north Cornish coast just a short drive away. Or by foot, take a hike along the South West Coast Path and explore miles of hidden coves and spectacular scenery. Hire some bikes for the day and try out the Camel Trail, a level cycle route enjoying the same beautiful landscape.
