If a beach day is your thing, you are spoilt for choice at Faireview. A short car journey will take you to any of the local “Seven Bays for Seven Days” for which the area is renowned, just pack your bucket and spade! Harlyn Bay has the long golden sands and gentle breakers perfect for beginner surf lessons, or for the explorers in the party, head to Booby’s Bay at low tide for world-class rockpools. Mother Ivey’s Bay is the best spot to see the lifeboat crashing down its ramp into the ocean on practice days, or spend the day pitched up on the beautiful sand at Constantine, jumping in and out of the ocean and drying off in the dunes. Both Trevone and Treyarnon have tidal pools, perfect for those days when the ocean is a bit rough, or head to the sheltered bay at Porthcothan for a dip at high tide.

Once you have worked up an appetite in the waves, head into Padstow for a refuel where you will find food options around every corner. Keep an eye out for seasonal pop-ups serving everything from Tacos to Burgers, or pop to Padstow Farm Shop for locally reared meat and veg to cook up a storm back at the house.

Reviews

Ben, February 2024

Nice location, quiet and easy to get into Padstow.

Madeline, August 2023

We had a wonderful stay here. The house is spacious and had plenty of room for our group that included grandparents and young children, so everyone had privacy. The location is great being so close to Padstow (even walkable to avoid peak summer parking issues) but also very quiet. We’d definitely stay here again.

Colin, August 2023

Lovely property, everything you need laid on.

Brian, August 2023

Clean, spacious and in a very quiet peaceful location.

Rob, April 2023

Lovely holiday cottage in a quiet location. Great base to explore the numerous beaches nearby and close to Padstow and Newquay.

Charlotte, October 2022

Beautiful property in a great location. Well equipped, comfortable and spotless. Will be using again!

Lesley, August 2022

We have just come back from a weeks holiday at Faireview Cottage. It is well situated for our favourite beach Porthcothan and many more within a few miles. The cottage has everything you could want for a lovely holiday and the fact we didn’t see a cloud all week was the icing on the cake!

Alex, July 2022

My family and i had lovely week in the cottage. The location is great, with easy access to Padstow including via a 30 minute walk but benefitting from the quietness of being set amongst fields. There are several beaches within 10 minutes drive.
The cottage is comfortable with shower and bath and well stocked with kitchen utensils and homeware. Stair gates mean it is toddler friendly. Nice quality bed linen!
There is very useful guide to the area and communication was prompt.
Great for families, we hope to come back to the area soon and would be happy to stay here again.

Mary, June 2022

Lovely, clean house, comfortable beds, well-equipped kitchen, and close to Padstow for shopping. Short drive from several beaches around Trevose Head, and Padstow for visiting or taking the ferry across to Rock. We were lucky to have a sunny week, but plenty of books and games provided for wet days.

Tracey, October 2021

Fantastic location, beautiful house, fabulous.

Kirsty, September 2021

Ideal accommodation based just on the outskirts of Padstow. Numerous beaches within 10/15 minutes drive and lots of lovely restaurants / bars within a short driving distance. Had everything we needed to enjoy the home from home comforts. I went with my husband and son (19 months old) and parents and was perfect for our needs. Would definitely recommend!

Christopher, August 2021

A great location and property. Would definitely stay again.

Matthew, July 2021

We enjoyed a wonderful sunny week and the property was ideally situated for the beautiful beaches at Constantine Bay, Harlyn Bay, Trevone, Bedruthan Steps and others. The property was very well presented, well equipped and perfect for our holiday.

Caroline, July 2021

Comfortable, close to Padstow, fully equipped with everything you could need.

Gillian, June 2021

Very enjoyable stay and location quiet and peaceful.

Ben, June 2021

Lovely house, we had a fantastic stay with our toddler. Quiet location, only 10 mins to beautiful beaches and walks. House lovely, clean, modern, spacious (we were only 3) and very child friendly with bath, stair gates, garden. Will book again!

Michael, June 2021

The place was just as advertised. There was plenty of room for our family of 5. The main family/lounge area was very big and we spent plenty of time playing the games and puzzles included on the bookshelf. Wi-Fi was a little slow and mobile phone service was somewhat patchy. The location is about 5 minutes from Padstow, a perfect Cornwall harbour village. We used this place as a central location for a week of Cornish adventures from Lands End to Altarnun to Plymouth. No complaints at all — will definitely recommend to our friends!

Zak, May 2021

PADSTOW…

Situated on the west bank of the Camel Estuary, the picturesque harbour town of Padstow is a stunning holiday destination with an energetic vibe, a huge range of superb restaurants and bars, a variety of boutique shops and galleries, and all of this surrounded by gorgeous scenery.

For those days wandering around the town or sitting by the harbour in the sunshine, the tides of the river and the stream of boats sailing in and out of the working fishing port provide an ever changing and simply beautiful scenery to absorb. Stroll further along from the harbour and you reach the gorgeous sandy beaches along the estuary, a beautiful spot to relax and let your cares fly away.

The town has become a famous foodie destination, with celebrity chefs Rick Stein and Paul Ainsworth taking centre stage, including Rick’s flagship Seafood Restaurant and Paul’s Michelin starred No.6 amongst the empire! With a huge variety through the town including Italian restaurants, fish and chips, delicious pub grub, tempting bakeries and daytime cafés. To go with this there is an equally wide range of bars to enjoy, from cosy pubs to stylish gin and wine bars.

Exploring the winding streets of the town you will also find a selection of clothing and jewellery shops, galleries and more.

During your visit, make the most of the water and take a boat trip out on the estuary, you can choose from a scenic trip on an old lifeboat, a water safari or a high speed trip around the bay! There is also a ferry which runs daily across the water to Rock with even more food options like Paul Ainsworth’s gastro pub The Mariners.

Padstow is also surrounded by other beautiful places, with several stunning sandy beaches along the rugged north Cornish coast just a short drive away. Or by foot, take a hike along the South West Coast Path and explore miles of hidden coves and spectacular scenery. Hire some bikes for the day and try out the Camel Trail, a level cycle route enjoying the same beautiful landscape.
