Introduction

 

Located within the gated Ocean Blue development, just 50m from the golden sands of Treyarnon Bay, is The Watergate, a bright and contemporary apartment laid over two floors.

 

The modern open plan living area has patio doors out onto the balcony so you can look out over the stunning scenery and listen to the waves breaking from the comfort of the apartment. With a minimalist style, the interior is clean and simple with a sleek kitchen and breakfast bar with stools for dining, a leather corner sofa and flat screen TV – if you can manage taking your eyes off of the mesmerising blue waters!

 

Upstairs there are two cosy bedrooms sleeping up to 4 guests, a king and a twin room both with stylish en-suite shower facilities. The master room is positioned at the front of the apartment looking out to sea, a perfect view to start the morning with.

Ocean Blue is located just a stone’s throw from the beach at Treyarnon Bay, one of the most sought-after bays in North Cornwall where you can soak in the most amazing sunsets. The renowned surfing beach offers an interesting blend of sandy beach, rock pools, caves, and gullies to explore and a natural swimming pool on the Northern side, plus stunning coastal walks in this area of natural beauty. With a cafe at the top of the cliff to sit and have a bite to eat and a drink or a seasonal food van for takeaway food and drinks. Perfectly situated amidst the popular bays of Harlyn, Mother Ivey’s, Constantine and Porthcothan, and the award winning Trevose Golf Club which is just a mile away.

 

A short, ten minutes, drive away is Padstow; a picturesque harbour town, that’s winding streets hide a plentiful number of pleasant surprises. This bustling town offers a vast variety of food from Rick Stein’s fine dining restaurants to fresh homemade pasties. If you’re feeling adventurous you could catch a sea life safari from the harbour or enjoy scenic views of the estuary cycling to Wadebridge for lunch along the flat Camel Trail.

Accommodation

Inside Space

On the lower floor of the apartment, the entrance hall provides stairs to the upper floor and a practical cloakroom with a toilet and hand basin. Through to the open plan living room, a social area with a modern white kitchen including a built in dishwasher and washing machine. There are stools at the breakfast bar for dining and a corner sofa for lounging. Patio doors lead out onto the balcony which has a small table and four chairs.

 

Up the stairs and you have two bedrooms. The master room with king-sized bed enjoys the amazing sea views and a contemporary en-suite shower room. The second bedroom has two single beds suitable for children (2’6” width) and another stylishly tiled en-suite shower room.

 

Outside space

The Watergate has a paved balcony overlooking the sea, with a glass and stainless steel balustrade and a metal bistro table with four metal chairs.

 

Parking

There is allocated parking for one vehicle within the gated grounds of the Ocean Blue development.

 

Linen
Linen and towels are included in the property but please bring your own beach towels.

 

Access

The Watergate is situated within the front row of the Ocean Blue building, on the first and second floors. The exterior grounds are all paved. The entrance is at the rear of the block, down a set of steps and into a communal hallway with tiled flooring, then up one two-part flight of stairs with a handrail to reach the individual apartment entrance. Once in the apartment, the living area is all level, there is a full flight of stairs up to the bedrooms which are then level.

Please note: This property has a balcony on the first floor. Please supervise children at all times when the balcony is in use.

Voted as Britain’s cleanest beach, Treyarnon is a stunning bay on the North Cornish coast with golden sands and beautiful blue waters. The renowned surfing beach offers an interesting blend of sand, rock pools, caves, and gullies to explore and a natural swimming pool on the Northern side. A north-west facing beach, Treyarnon enjoys simply unforgettable sunsets out on the horizon line.

 

Up on the cliff there is a café open all year round where you can stop for a drink or a bite to eat, with plenty of outdoor seating overlooking the bay. There is also a seasonal shop for essential supplies and a seasonal food van for takeaway food and drinks. With toilets at the top of the beach, you can enjoy a family day on Treyarnon beach with everything you need in reach.

 

Perfectly situated amidst the popular bays of Constantine and Porthcothan, and linked by the South West Coast Path, you can discover some of the finest coastal landscapes. Just a mile away at the top of Constantine Bay, you can also find the award winning Trevose Golf & Country Club, a championship course with a stunning backdrop.

 

 

 

For further amenities nearby, head to St Merryn. The village offers a mixture of places to eat and drink including Rick Stein’s cosy pub The Cornish Arms. There is a village store, fish and chip shop, bakery, petrol station and more. Another fine place to eat is The Pig over at Harlyn Bay, just a couple of miles from Treyarnon.

 

Also just a ten minute drive away is Padstow, a picturesque harbour town with a number of superb restaurants, bars, boutique shops and galleries. This bustling town offers a vast variety of food options from Rick Stein’s famous Seafood Restaurant and Paul Ainsworth’s Michelin starred No.6, to fresh Cornish pasties and fish and chips on the harbour.
