Polmark Beach Cottages is a select development of traditional houses with communal courtyard gardens, located within just a few hundred meters of the beach at Harlyn Bay. Nestled in the courtyard you will find Gwylan, an ideal base to retire to after a busy day of exploring the coast.

 

Step inside and be welcomed by an open plan style living area with comfortable sitting room to one side and a contemporary kitchen to the other. There are two bedrooms, a spacious king room and a twin room, with velux windows flooding the first floor in natural light, and also a modern shower room between the two.

Harlyn is a stunning Bay on the North Cornish coastline. The waves rolling into the bay offer the perfect opportunity of learning to surf, as well as providing ever changing scenery as you soak up the sun on the beach. Harlyn Surf School offers an action packed experience with not just surf lessons but kayaking, paddle boarding and coasteering. Harlyn Bay also permits dogs on the beach all year round, so your furry friend can join you on your travels and not have to miss out!

 

Surrounded by other spots of beauty, Harlyn serves as an amazing base for exploring the North Cornish coastline and all its hidden gems along the South West Coast Path, with stunning walks via Trevone Bay to Padstow, or around the headland at Trevose.

 

Also on your doorstep, within a 5 minute walk you will find The Pig Hotel & Restaurant which offers a superb dining experience. And St Merryn just a mile away includes Rick Stein’s pub The Cornish Arms, amongst other lovely spots to eat and drink.

 

The picturesque harbour town of Padstow is just two miles away. This bustling town offers a vast variety of food from Rick Stein’s fine dining restaurants to fresh homemade pasties. If you’re feeling adventurous you could catch a sea life safari from the harbour or enjoy scenic views of the estuary cycling to Wadebridge for lunch along the flat Camel Trail.

Accommodation

Inside Space

On the ground floor you are greeted by a spacious open plan living area, including a gorgeous kitchen with stylish tones of grey and dark blue and wooden countertops tying in with the flooring. With dining furniture, stools at the breakfast bar and comfortable sofas in the sitting room, there is plenty of room for the family to gather together when planning the next activities or replaying the day’s events! Head upstairs when the day is done, there is a large master room with a king bed, a twin bedroom and a shower room with modern white tiling.

 

Outside space

Gwylan has the use of the communal gardens within the grounds. There is a central courtyard with a few tables and chairs dotted around, and a second courtyard area at the south of the development with a BBQ area and sunny aspect. Of course, the beach is just 2 minutes away so that’s the best garden possible!

 

Parking

There is allocated parking for one car within the grounds of the Polmark Beach Cottages development.

 

Access

Parking space on gravel, level but uneven access across the paved courtyard area and two steps up to the main entrance of the house. Ground floor accommodation is level. One full flight of stairs up to the first floor where accommodation is then level.

 

Refundable security deposit

A refundable security deposit of £250 will be taken prior to your stay.

Pets

Dogs permitted, £25 per pet.

 

Linen

Perched on the edge of the sand you can grab a coffee or a bite to eat from the Beach Box Café, open all year round. Handy for a beach day, toilets are located just a short walk over the road. For a finer evening meal, nestled at the top of the hamlet, within a short walk is The Pig Hotel & Restaurant which offers a superb dining experience. And the village of St Merryn is just a mile away, including Rick Stein’s pub The Cornish Arms, amongst other lovely spots to eat and drink.

 

For further amenities, it’s a five minute drive to Padstow, a picturesque harbour town with a number of superb restaurants, bars, boutique shops and galleries. This bustling town offers a vast variety of food options from Rick Stein’s famous Seafood Restaurant and Paul Ainsworth’s Michelin starred No.6, to fresh Cornish pasties and fish and chips on the harbour.
