Introduction

 

Trevear is positioned just on the edge of the town centre, an easy walk to the harbour yet tucked away from the hustle and bustle and looking out across the rooftops to the Camel Estuary. A beautiful and spacious home, Trevear enjoys a perfect balance of cosy yet bright and airy interior, with snug sofas wrapped around the log burner, comfy beds, and natural light flooding in through attractive bay windows.

 

Offering comfortable accommodation laid over three floors including a stylish open plan living area, three spacious bedrooms plus a bonus snorers retreat, and three modern bathrooms. With glimpses to the sea from the first floor bedrooms, and a real ‘wow’ from the master room on the second floor which enjoys superb views of the estuary and over to Daymer Bay.

Padstow is a picturesque harbour town, that’s winding streets hide a plentiful number of pleasant surprises, with something for everyone. Famous for it’s selection of gourmet restaurants, including those of Rick Stein and Paul Ainsworth, Padstow offers an amazing culinary scene and several brilliant pubs and bars. In between the fine dining experiences, try dodging the seagulls with a traditional Cornish pasty or spot of fish and chips sitting by the harbours edge.

 

Padstow is situated ideally by the South West Coast path, perfect for a scenic walk to find many of the coast’s hidden gems. Not forgetting the Camel Trail, where you can enjoy the striking views of the estuary whilst cycling the level track to Wadebridge or beyond. And of course, there are several stunning beaches within a short drive providing a huge choice of water sports, with fantastic surf schools at Harlyn Bay, Polzeath and Watergate Bay amongst others, you can pack your holiday with activities in no time.

Inside Space

Enjoying a spacious and modern open plan style living area on the ground floor. The sofas at the front of the house gather around the cosy log burner, leading through to the dining area with table and chairs to seat 6, this opens to the kitchen at the back of the house. The kitchen is a calming shade of blue with an integral dishwasher and ample equipment, a stylish room with breakfast bar and lounge area to the side with armchairs and a skylight allowing the light to flood into through the living areas and a door out to the garden. Next to the dining room there is also a downstairs shower room.

 

Up the first flight of stairs to the bedrooms, on this floor there is a spacious king size bedroom with a lovely bay window where you can catch a glimpse of the estuary. There is a twin room with another sea glimpse at the rear of the house along with the roomy family bathroom which has a bath and a separate shower. There is also a third small room with a single bed for any relegated snorers!

 

Up on the top floor there is a stunning master suite, a spacious king size room with spectacular views of the Camel Estuary and an en-suite shower room.

 

Outside space

Accessed from the kitchen, there is an enclosed patio garden with a bench table and chairs and a lovely little summerhouse.

There is no private parking with this property. On street parking is available but not guaranteed, no permit or charge required.

Linen and towels are included in the property but please bring your own beach towels.

 

Access

From the road there is a step into the front courtyard area and two steps to the front door. once inside, the living area is level on the ground floor with one shower room on this floor. From the hall, one staircase up to the first floor bedrooms and bathroom and then a second staircase to the master en-suite bedroom.

Situated on the west bank of the Camel Estuary, the picturesque harbour town of Padstow is a stunning holiday destination with an energetic vibe, a huge range of superb restaurants and bars, a variety of boutique shops and galleries, and all of this surrounded by gorgeous scenery.

 

For those days wandering around the town or sitting by the harbour in the sunshine, the tides of the river and the stream of boats sailing in and out of the working fishing port provide an ever changing and simply beautiful scenery to absorb. Stroll further along from the harbour and you reach the gorgeous sandy beaches along the estuary, a beautiful spot to relax and let your cares fly away.

 

  

 

The town has become a famous foodie destination, with celebrity chefs Rick Stein and Paul Ainsworth taking centre stage, including Rick’s flagship Seafood Restaurant and Paul’s Michelin starred No.6 amongst the empire! With a huge variety through the town including Italian restaurants, fish and chips, delicious pub grub, tempting bakeries and daytime cafés. To go with this there is an equally wide range of bars to enjoy, from cosy pubs to stylish gin and wine bars.

 

Exploring the winding streets of the town you will also find a selection of clothing and jewellery shops, galleries and more.

 

  

 

During your visit, make the most of the water and take a boat trip out on the estuary, you can choose from a scenic trip on an old lifeboat, a water safari or a high speed trip around the bay! There is also a ferry which runs daily across the water to Rock with even more food options like Paul Ainsworth’s gastro pub The Mariners.

 

Padstow is also surrounded by other beautiful places, with several stunning sandy beaches along the rugged north Cornish coast just a short drive away. Or by foot, take a hike along the South West Coast Path and explore miles of hidden coves and spectacular scenery. Hire some bikes for the day and try out the Camel Trail, a level cycle route enjoying the same beautiful landscape.
