Introduction

 

Welcome to Sunnyside, the perfect house for a relaxed, beachside family holiday. Located metres from the golden sands of Trevone Bay, this light and airy cottage sleeps up to ten people and is a wonderful base from which to create those summer holiday memories. Sandy feet and salty wetsuits can be rinsed off under the outdoor shower, and a large rear garden provides plenty of space for those evening BBQ’s. This home-from-home has a spacious and open kitchen and dining area which leads out to the patio and garden, with plenty of space for large family gatherings. The ground floor is also home to a comfortable sitting room with lots of space for relaxing after a hard day on the beach, as well as two king-sized bedrooms and a twin room, all ensuite. The first floor houses a further two bedrooms, one super king and one king, a family bathroom and a bonus lounge area which could either provide a quiet sanctuary or an entertainment space for the younger family members.

Trevone Bay has a stunning sandy beach ideal for families and surfers alike. As well as the beautiful, horseshoe shaped sandy beach, there is a second rocky beach which is home to a unique tidal swimming pool, a wonderful spot for a dip all year round. With direct access to the famous Southwest Coast Path in either direction, as well as some of the most incredible coves and rockpools on the North Cornwall coast, Trevone really is the perfect spot for explorers of all ages.

 

Trevone is a five-minute drive from the foodie mecca of Padstow, where you can dine in a variety of world-class restaurants, including Rick Steins flagship, the Seafood Restaurant. Padstow is also home to Paul Ainsworth’s highly regarded No 6 and the always buzzing Prawn on The Lawn, as well as an array of seasonal pop-ups.  If fine dining isn’t your thing, you can be assured that you are never more than a few metres away from a wide choice of pasty or fish and chip options to keep the whole family fed and happy!

 

Situated near the mouth of the Camel Estuary, Padstow offers a huge range of activities to tempt the adventurers in your party, including coasteering and paddle boarding, cycling along the renowned Camel Trail cycle path or heading out on a speedboat with Padstow Sea Life Safari. Surf lessons are available on most local beaches or hop on the ferry over to Rock to explore the other side of the estuary.

Accommodation

Inside Space

Off the light and bright hallway sits the sitting room, with a large corner sofa and cosy armchairs, perfect for that post-beach chillout. Situated at the front of the house, this inviting room also has an office nook and gas wood burner, ideal for warming the cockles after a dip. The hallway leads through to the light and spacious dining and kitchen area, which boasts bi-fold doors leading on to the patio and generous garden. There is a fully equipped utility room to the rear which has a unique drying wall, perfect for hanging those soggy wetsuits! Sunnyside benefits from three ground floor bedrooms, two king rooms leading off the hallway and a twin bedroom to the side of the house. All three bedrooms have ensuite facilities, each with a shower.  

 

Head up the stairs from the dining room and you find another lounge area, off which are two spacious bedrooms and a full family bathroom. This area could be a perfect as a grown-up sanctuary, or let the kids use it and let them go wild within their own space! There is a sofa and armchair, plus a TV, a great space to seek some calm (unless the kids are there!) Both bedrooms are front facing, with one super king and one king sized bed. Both have plenty of storage and share the family bathroom which has a bath and walk-in shower.

 

Outside space

Sunnyside has a lawn area to the front and a large rear garden with patio and lawn areas. There is a large table and chairs for outdoor dining, and an outdoor shower.

 

Parking

There is parking for one car on the driveway and space to park a second directly in front of the house.

 

Linen
Linen and towels are included in the property but please bring your own beach towels.

 

Access

Sunnyside has a level path to the front door, with two steps from the front door into the house. The ground floor is all on one level, with the exception of the twin bedroom which is down three steps from the dining area, and both of the en-suite shower rooms from the double rooms which are each down 3 steps. There is a full corner staircase leading to the first floor which has 15 treads and a handrail, and no other steps or stairs on the first floor. Externally, there is a step down from the rear patio area to the lawn, and the path to the side of the house is gravel.

 

Refundable security deposit

A refundable security deposit of £250 will be taken prior to your stay.

Trevone Bay is a truly wonderful spot on the North Cornish coast. Home to a stunning sandy beach ideal for families and surfers, which extends around to an additional rocky beach featuring a unique tidal swimming pool, a wonderful spot for a dip all year round.

 

With direct access to the famous Southwest Coast Path in either direction, as well as some of the most incredible coves and rockpools on the North Cornwall coast, not to mention the famous ‘Round Hole’, Trevone really is the perfect spot for explorers of all ages.

 

 

Trevone offers a well-stocked farm shop open seven days a week, a beach shop and café for refreshments overlooking the bay, along with the local pub The Well Parc.

 

For a wider variety of restaurants and shops, Padstow is only one mile away – an easy drive or a lovely walk in the sunshine. A picturesque harbour town with a number of superb restaurants, bars, boutique shops and galleries, Padstow is a bustling town offering a vast variety of food options from Rick Stein’s famous Seafood Restaurant and Paul Ainsworth’s Michelin starred No.6, to fresh Cornish pasties and fish and chips on the harbour.
